4 + 1

4+1 is the name of a collective comprised of four ceramists specializing in contemporary jewelry.
The name also refers to a game in which the collective participates. The game is centered on the plaster mold, a distinctive element of ceramic work.
Initially, each participant proposes a specific mold, which, after being used, is passed on from workshop to workshop. Each of the four ceramists is free to use these molds as they wish: the resultant casts can be distorted, modified, or transformed as well as multiplied or associated with other materials.
The objective of this participatory game is to produce a collection of unique porcelain jewelry.
